Confessions page-a new trend

If you have been using your Facebook profile lately, more than you ever did, there can be two reasons: one, that your exams just ended OR two,you keep logging in to check the latest post on the confession page of your university(For those who have been resting at the corners of the world and are STILL unaware about what these pages are, Google it,because if I come to describe what they actually are, they may sound as something lethal).
Bringing out the secrets which you'v kept with yourself all this while through these pages is rather a fresh idea,or maybe just a gimmick!

1.You can let your frustrations out, which you have been holding for a long time within,or the things which have been bothering you..what can be a better way to display your animosity for your classmate,or you can take the vengeance of what the other girl did to you by telling everyone how slutty she is..the best thing is,WITHOUT BEING REVEALED. Brings such a sadistic pleasure.

2.Other thing I can decipher is,that these pages are definitely proving to out to be advantageous to guys, for sure. They can no longer hesitate to profess their "love" to the girl they have been liking. An umpteen number of them have been using it to make proposals to girls they have never even talked to(and who claim to love them,ha!ridiculous). This gives a false illusion. One can profess that he has been having a huge crush on his classmate for a "long" time..because shes kind and helpful,no matter what the reality is.

It is a bad trend.I call this change,a "conniving" trend: it is bringing out the undesirable

Yes,this was posted by some school student!
1.People can impugn anything and everything about everyone, without thinking about the after effects. One of the posts read "Surbhi, doosro pe ungli uthane se pehne khud k character ko dekhlo".Things like these are Okay to bitch in a friends' circle, but should not be said publicly..who knows,it may be a calumny! In a passive way, these pages have increased the belligerence among girls. The best example can be the one I just quoted above. In another instance,my own friend got miffed up with someone whom she has been hating for not-so-important reasons, because she posted something very offensive about her looks.Deplorable.

2.I hate to read about the fantasies and the "dark" they v done in their life! The intelligent ones surely understand, that such confessions must be kept private, because if everyone in the world comes up with such stuff, our dearly "Facebook" will soon be converted to "pornbook".

But unlike other trends(like the one Iv mentioned about in my previous blog-post which have been bothering me,this one doesn't as the graph is falling: people have become less addictive as they were on  the arrival of  these pages.Maybe, the reason is that they've understood that its just another over-hyped thing..but whatever the reason is,we are heading to normalcy, yet again.

Where are the "kids"?

Those were the days of bygone..the times of childhood, when our day would pass by playing the games, gathering things around us,games of fun, such as the "pithu gram"..going back to the most primitive level, games such as "ghar-ghar''.And that wasn't just my scene, everyone around me agree for having played such stuff. Now,when I look at the kids around me,it surprises me how much the scenario has changed.

They say, time brings major changes in the society. They even say, changes brought with time should be accepted. But I've not been able to,with toddlers nowadays speaking swearwords as fluently as their nursery rhymes.I do not remember how many times Iv seen them disrespecting their elders for no reason. With the kids of today who cannot stop ranting about their new iPhone or about the "sexy new chic" in their classroom,it worries me where our society is heading to.Not many around me agree that they used to be the same as kids today are.

These might not be some very serious changes, but they definitely denote disasters that are yet to follow.I cannot stop myself from co-relating these with the adolescents of today.Makes me feel ashamed to mention about the Xth grade student who raped a year old infant,or the 16-yr old most recently convicted for the rape of Delhi girl. And the number of such cases is still rising.Where are the "natural kids" lost? A 15-year old becomes offensive when you call him as a "kid" these days. Why do they feel as if they'r adults? Not a very good sign.

This is an internet age,I know, but too much of anything is always bad.I know this girl ,who is in second grade and is on facebook. There are many more of her age on other social media sites.I remember when I was of her age,I would spend my leisure time watching cartoons.Cant blame her even, because the shows meant  for the toddlers nowadays really SUCK(shows like "suite life of karan and kabir" where two children flirt around a girl..sick!) IE to conclude social media is another one to be blamed. And we cannot miss to  blame the way the children are brought up in-too much pampering is not good.

I wish they realize soon, that childhood is a transient period of life-every moment should be treasured, you can't relive these moments.Because by the time they become older, the situation becomes somewhat like this:

ARE WE TOO YOUNG TO USE SLANGS?

"You are a piece of rotten sh**"

I heard her saying. I have known this girl for two years. She had been adored for her vocabulary and her style(which resembles to Britney Spears). Personally speaking,I'v also liked her attitude, her style. But as I got to know her more(rather got to know more about her colloquials),there was something of her that sounded more distorting: flowery, but at the same time haughty. Later,I realised, she had "adorned" her speaking skills with use of SLANGS.

The other day,my friend said to me "I really like the use of expressions in her speech."(you know, that girl always had that snobbish attitude on her face while speaking). And sooner,I realised that she had got everyone stirred up.

That got me thinking.."Expressions??They find her expressions interesting?? What is anyway expressed by such words?!"

Speaking on a personal note,I have never preferred to use of such words/slangs. With me, using proper official english, even while speaking, one can easily make out that neither have I watched many American films, nor have I read many novels.(I thank god that Iam not in America at this time, where the use of slangs is spread like an epidemic. Lately,I read this Indian girl quoting that she was stunned to hear her boss asking her to "Come, digg'in". Later, she understood that he actually asked her to join him and his friends for lunch.)

My personal choice is to make use of proper English, rather to use words which convey just half of the meaning what you actually want to say,the words which display nothing but fake attitude, and sheer rudeness. The number of people making use of slangs is increasing, surely it adds to the interest of a rather-bland language(Well,I can't question this "sublanguage",even Shakespeare used it in his works!). It potrays uniqueness of the person while speaking english (Absobloodylutely it  does!). But a difference has to be made out here: many people forcefully try to blend them in their language("hit a counsellor" rather than "consult a counsellor").We have slang-converter apps,slang-dictionaries (what for?To TEACH you how to speak slang?!If this is so I guess sooner we will be having a rather new subject in our courses). Speaking about Indians,it just leaves me wondering:Are we too young to use slangs?(Because we have not been able to expertise ourselves in the formal english, leave behind experimenting with the language!)

Would like to know your opinions regarding the question raised.Thankyou :)
